Walkthrough
Inside Financial Planner OS
The production build running with a fictional sample profile, a 24-year-old part-time student renting in Alberta, so every module has real numbers to work with.

The profile is fictional. Its income, balances and goals were made up for this walkthrough.
Problem
Personal financial planning is spread across calculators, spreadsheets and notes that don't talk to each other, so it's hard to see how today's decisions add up over years.
Approach
Put each part of a plan in its own module and connect them: cash flow, goals, savings buckets, a timeline, tax planning, risk protection, a journal and a yearly review.
Implementation
A Next.js app backed by Supabase, wrapped in a native Windows shell with Tauri. The desktop build bundles a portable Node runtime as a sidecar so the full app runs locally, ships as a silent NSIS installer, and uses Tauri plugins for notifications, window state and updates.
Highlights
- Modules for planning, cash flow, goals, buckets, timeline, tax planning, risk protection, journal and annual review
